Chi Omega has a national partnership with the Make-A-Wish Foundation.  Nu Lambda is honored to work directly with Make-A-Wish Foundation of Eastern North Carolina. Chi Omegas have made a difference in many children's lives through volunteering our time in order to grant the wishes of children with life threatening illnesses. Since our founding in 1990, Nu Lambda has worked nearly 3216 hours to support Make-A-Wish and raised $63,460 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. 

 

Nu Lambda holds an Annual Golf Tournament every year to raise money for the Make-A-Wish foundation. For the past eight years we have raised enough money to grant an entire wish for a child! The 9th Annual Golf Tournament will take place September 27, 2014. If you are interested in playing or sponsoring please contact Community Service Chair, Ashley Henson at ach8089@uncw.edu 

 

Throughout the year we love to support Make-A-Wish at various fundraisers and events in the Wilmington community. Partnering with Make-A-Wish leaves a lasting impact on every sister. It truly is a remarkable foundation that we are honored to be a part of.

 

Aside from The Make-A-Wish Foundation, sisters volunteer their time in many other activities and organizations. As a chapter we have participated in projects with Habitat for Humanity, Paws for People, March of Dimes, and events at elementary schools.
